Welcome to the documentation of our Film Workshop 2008 in Bautzen (Germany)!

There is something cooking these days.
Ingredients from different European countries such as Poland, England, Germany, Latvia and Denmark give our meal the right flavour.

Our Film Workshop 2008 started on September 6th and will
last until September 20th.

Everything is revolving around the topic: "My Border- a Fiction".

+ What keeps you from crossing borders?
+ Do they really exist or is it just a fiction?
+ Is it good sense or just the fear to take chances?
+ How do you even recognize a border when you reach one?
+ Is it possible to overcome personal borders ?
+ Do you think that national and cultural borders have an influence on your personal borders?

During the first three days, the film teams created three 90 seconds movies related to those questions.
Afterwards we will picturize the winner scripts of our previous script competition in different groups.

Our tutors Catherine Fugh (directing/script), Katarzyna Ueberhan (editing) and Lars Drawert (camera) are guiding us through the process of film-making.

In the days to come you will find reports about our work in the "Steinhaus e.V." on this platform.
